Our Senior Management team is highly experienced in delivering measurable value through regulatory, technical and financial advice on energy and emissions reductions.Craig Holden, Managing Director, UK, LondonCraig is a Professional Mechanical Engineer with 20 years industrial experience. He has been with Camco for over eight years and became the Managing Director of UK Advisory in January 2011.Craig specialises in industrial energy efficiency and has worked extensively in the manufacturing and food & beverage sectors. He has delivered utility, cost & carbon reduction audits at over 100 sites around the globe, implemented Camco’s Energy / Carbon Desktop aM&T online resource management systems and also managed numerous high profile group carbon management programmes. He has a wide range of technical skills and specific technical consulting experience in such areas as process optimisation, industrial steam boilers & systems, compressed air, refrigeration, motors & drives and effluent treatment.Craig has a Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering and a Masters degree in process related research. Craig’s background is in project management and engineering management and holds qualifications in both disciplines.Duncan Price, Director, LondonDuncan is a Director at Camco. He has 15 years’ experience of working with leading clients to deliver successful policies, strategies and projects across a wide range of sectors including commercial property, retail, education, social housing and the public sector. His particular expertise is in combining technical, financial and delivery considerations to establish commercial agreements and secure investment into low carbon projects. Notable commissions include the £4bn Stratford City and Wembley City developments in London, ESCo agreements for major developers and solar investment programmes for local authorities and housing associations. He is technical due diligence advisor to Co-op Bank and is a leading authority on the potential for Green Deal. He has a strong track record in CHP, district heating, wind, biomass, PV and energy efficiency.Duncan is a Chartered Engineer, a member of the RIBA Sustainable Futures Committee and sits on the steering group of the Existing Homes Alliance and two Green Deal Working Groups. He managed the UK-GBC Pay as You Save Task Group and is a Technical Support Consultant to the Low Carbon Buildings Programme.Dave Worthington, Director, LondonDave is a qualified engineer with ten years design and consultancy experience in the field of environmental engineering, building integrated renewables, and sustainable energy solutions. Dave sits on the Energy Supply Steering Group of the Zero Carbon Hub, the IMechE’s Renewable Power Committee, and is a Technical Support Consultant for the Low Carbon Buildings Programme.Dave’s recent projects include venture development support (CTEL), technical and commercial support to ESCo development for housing in Bath (Crest Nicholson), District Energy Study for the Broadgate Estate in the City of London, the Low Carbon Buildings Programme (Carbon Trust) Poundbury Energy Strategy (Duchy of Cornwall), and CRC-EES advice for British Land. Dave was also recently involved in the Jinshan One Planet Living Community, a zero carbon 5000+ mixed use project near Guangzhou in southern China.Previous to Camco, David worked with a consulting engineer, designing sustainable buildings and infrastructure solutions for projects in a wide range of sectors including residential, commercial, education, healthcare, culture, leisure and transport.Chris Crookall-Fallon, Director, BathChris is an engineer with 20 years experience in sustainable energy and climate change including periods in government programme management, the European Commission, and AEA Technology plc, before joining Camco.Chris’ experience in public sector carbon management programmes dates back several years, to pilot programmes in the higher education sector that pre-dated the successful five years of Carbon Trust Local Authority and Higher Education programmes. Chris has directed several consecutive of these flagship carbon management projects, playing a key role in the development of carbon management toolkits. Having completed an MBA, Chris brings a focus on overcoming large organisational challenges in implementation planning, from his carbon management work with private sector clients, complemented by several years of experience in policy development, and the application of tradable economic instruments to achieve low carbon outcomes.Gareth Jones, Technical Director, BathGareth is an engineer and energy specialist with over 25 years experience in renewable energy technologies and the low carbon sector. A founder member of Camco’s advisory division in 1990 (ESD, as it was then called), Gareth has been working with private and public sector organisations since 2001 to help in their development of a strategic approach to climate change issues. One of the key elements of carbon management is to understand how an organisation works and to engage with its stakeholders in order to make the business case for change; this area is one of Gareth’s strengths. Past projects have included investigating the potential for supplementary carbon finance for biomass fuelling projects at cement kilns, developing a strategic approach to energy efficiency for the NHS and carbon management planning for several organisations, including Aggregate Industries, Welsh Water, the BBC, Royal Mail Group and Scottish & Newcastle. Robert Cohen, Technical Director, BathRobert specialises in improving the energy performance of buildings. He developed a rare understanding of how real buildings work through the Probe project. He led the Europrosper and EPLabel projects which pioneered building energy certification based on actual energy use. He helped to develop the strategy and methodology for DECs on behalf of the UK government and helps clients use their DECs to prioritise energy saving programmes. Robert helped underpin the UKGBC-led initiative to roll-out DECs to all non-domestic buildings. He recently completed writing the Carbon Trust’s Low Carbon Workplace Standard. He is a Building Performance Evaluator for the Technology Strategy Board and a member of the UK government’s Technical Steering and Conventions Groups for DECs, CIBSE’s Steering Group on building energy benchmarks (TM46), CIBSE’s Energy Performance Group DEC expert forum, CEN’s Standards Committee TC89 WG4 on Building Energy Performance and CIBSE’s Natural Ventilation Committee. During 2008-9 Robert oversaw the C80 refurbishment of his own home.Keith Regan, Associate Director, LondonKeith joined Camco in 2006 as a Commercial Manager in the emission reduction business, responsible for managing and then structuring the carbon credit portfolio. He has deep knowledge of the global carbon markets and his Advisory clients have included DECC (carbon market policy), DFID (Energy Efficiency trading scheme design in India), the Carbon Trust (Innovations Strategy for activities in China). He has also worked extensively with private sector clients on projects defining global strategic approaches to Carbon and Energy reduction, Water efficiency and reducing carbon in the supply chain. Keith has been invited to speak at several international conferences including Point Carbon, Carbon Forum Europe and the IEA. Keith trained as an economist at Cambridge University and prior to joining Camco worked at Arthur Andersen and Deloitte Consulting (1995-2005).

  • Scott McGregor

    Scott, as CEO, has been a member of the Camco Board of Directors since March 2006, previously serving as CFO before being appointed to his current position in 2009.

    With strong exposure to fund raising and strategic development within early-stage and high growth companies, Scott has worldwide experience in the mining, finance and technology industries and has advised leading corporations in North America and Europe on environmental initiatives.

    Former positions include finance and development roles for Rio Tinto, Merrill Lynch and Skype Technologies. Scott has a MBA from the London Business School, a B.Econ from Monash University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant through PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

  • Dr Jeff Kenna

    Jeff Kenna has 30 years experience managing small and medium sized enterprises in the sustainable energy sector, from incubation to full commercial development.

    He has been an advisor to the European Commission, the World Bank, the UN and the UK government on energy policy and market growth.

    Jeff has been a member of our Board of Directors since February 2006 and is a member of the Remuneration and Audit Committees, and also the Chairman of the Nomination Committee.

    Jeff has a PhD in Solar Energy from the University of Wales and a BSc in Applied Physics from the University of Bath.

  • Herta Von Stiegel

    Herta von Stiegel is Executive Chairman of Ariya Capital Group, a private equity firm focusing on sustainable investments in Africa.

    Through senior positions at Citibank and JP Morgan as well as a Managing Director role at AIG Financial Products and a more recent role at American International Group Inc, Herta has extensive experience in building profitable and regulated structured finance businesses.

    She holds a Juris Doctor degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Michigan, a Masters of Law degree in Taxation from New York University School of Law and a B.A. from Andrews University. Herta serves on several boards in the corporate and not-for-profit sectors, including Opportunity International, a global microfinance organisation with multiple financial services subsidiaries.

  • Michael Farrow

    Michael Farrow is a principal and director of Consortia Partnership Limited, a Jersey licensed trust company. He currently sits on the Boards of a number of listed companies. He has also been group company secretary of Cater Allen Jersey, a banking, trustee and investment management group.

    Michael has been a member of our Board of Directors since March 2006 and is a member of the Audit and Nomination Committees, and also the Chairman of the Remuneration Committee.

    Michael was formerly an Army Officer and holds an MSc in Corporate governance and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries & Administrators.

  • Paolo Pietrogrande

    Paolo Pietrogrande joined the Board in November 2009 as non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee.

    Paolo is currently Executive Chairman of Netplan in New Jersey, USA, a Board member of Ryanair Holdings Plc (Nasdaq: RYAAY) and member of the advisory committee of Wheb Capital Advisors and of 9REN Group.

    He was formerly CEO of Enel Greenpower, NCA, Executive Chairman of 9REN Group, Chairman of Atmos Holding and Solar Energy Italia, and his previous board appointments include Trinergy Plc, ENI Acqua, Ducati Motor Holding, different companies of the Enel Group, Atmos and its subsidiaries.

    Paolo has also served as an executive at KTI Group, Bain & Company, General Electric.

  • Arthur Houston

    As Managing Director of the Camco EMEA Carbon team, Arthur is developing and expanding Camco's Carbon business into Africa. He has several years of experience in carbon project development and implementation and has been with Camco for more than 5 years. Previously he was the Managing Director of Russia and FSU.

    Arthur holds an MBA from INSEAD and has worked in Russia/FSU for over 15 years. Since joining Camco in 2005, Arthur has developed the company’s presence in Russia/FSU and led a team which has acquired a significant market share of carbon projects in the region. During the last year, his responsibilities have increased to cover a larger region and he has focused on positioning Camco’s EMEA business to address changing regulations in the EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS).

    Prior to joining Camco, Arthur was the investment advisor of the Ukrainian Investment Fund (UIFL) in Kiev, where he developed UIFL's portfolio strategy and identified target companies in the oil and gas, power generation, chemicals and steel manufacturing sectors. Arthur also worked with PLTC International AG, a Swiss financial services company, where he managed the launch of the PLTC VISA Card in Russia, and with CMT in Moscow where he developed market entry strategies for US industrial companies.

  • Hendrik Dalsgard

    Henrik Dalsgard is managing director of Camco China. He received his MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, and was awarded his PhD in Mechanical Engineering in the same university in 1991. After graduation, he initially worked as project manager in Statoil, Denmark, and then in 1995, he moved to COWI A/S, where he continued to work as senior project manager. From 2005, he became General Manager at COWI Consulting (Beijing)Co. Ltd. In 2007, Henrik joined Camco, initially as Director of Operation. He handled development of CDM processes and technical issues, supporting business development and the managing director with evaluation of project opportunities and strategies in carbon business.

  • Kent Carter

    Kent brings more than 25 years of international experience in infrastructure development and investment in diverse industries and markets. Before joining Camco, Kent was Senior Vice President at Peak Pacific Investment Company in Beijing, where he had overall responsibility for building the company’s portfolio of energy assets. While in this role, he negotiated and closed 6 joint ventures with a total investment in excess of US$150 million.

    Prior to Peak Pacific, Kent worked with Asian Energy Ventures, a power development firm, and the Ipco Group, one of SE Asia’s leading infrastructure development and construction firms. In these roles, he was involved with securing and completing contracts totaling more than US$600m in the oil & gas, power, water supply and transportation sectors.

    Kent began his career as a consulting engineer with firms in Canada and Australia working on major public and private infrastructure projects. Kent holds a BSc from the University of British Columbia, Canada.

  • Jim Wiest

    Jim Wiest assisted with the development and implementation of Camco’s expansion into North America in 2007. He is currently responsible for the coordination of Camco’s North American carbon origination and commercialization activities.

    Jim has over 18 years of transactional experience in the finance sector with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and institutional development financing. Prior to joining Camco Jim was the founder and Managing Director of an investment banking company focused on securing equity and debt financing for large scale commercial real estate development projects and renewable energy projects.

    Jim received his accounting degree from Colorado State University and practiced as a Certified Public Accountant with his last accounting position as a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young., LLP.

  • Mike Bess

    Mike Bess is a trained Economist who began his professional career with the Minerals and Energy Unit of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), the US’ overseas investment insurance programme. Mike worked on risk analysis of US, and later OECD investments in the oil and gas sectors in emerging markets.

    He then served as adviser to the Minister of Energy, in Sudan, in 1981, at the tail end of the second ‘OPEC Oil Boom’. He formed his own energy consultancy company in 1987, and was International Director of Energy for Sustainable Development (ESD) until ESD merged with Camco in 2007. Mike was a founder of Camco and has been a director since Camco’s foundation in 2003. He is currently Managing Director for Africa and Southeastern Europe, and is Head of Camco Policy and Strategy.

    Mike is a leading player in the development and utilisation of ‘carbon finance’ in the energy sector. He has been active in both the CDM and JI from the beginning. He has designed activities and projects in each of these fields and is currently providing advice and services to the private sector and various public bodies in these areas. He is working across Camco, specifically, in China, Russia, Africa, Central Europe, Latin America, North America and the European Union.

  • Stephen Mutimba

    Stephen Mutimba is an environment and renewable energy specialist, with 20 years’ experience in clean energy, biofuels, forestry, policy, institutional research, and project management.

    Recently Stephen headed up a team which was responsible for developing the National Climate Change Strategy for Kenya. He is currently the manager of the Parliamentary Network on renewable energy and climate change (PANERECC). Stephen possesses an MSc. in Forestry, Land Use and Change from University of Oxford, and a Certificate of Economics of Climate Change from University of Cambridge.

    Stephen has been with Camco for nine years.

  • Jeff Felton

    Jeff has been working in the field of sustainable development in Africa for over 20 years. He is an experienced project manager, team leader, trainer and facilitator. Jeff's field is small enterprise development, and he has successfully introduced a variety of new technologies into new developing markets, such as Jiko stoves in Mali and Benin and solar PV in Tanzania.

    Jeff is the Managing Director of Camco Advisory Services Tanzania, and has been with Camco since 2005. Camco Tanzania's program portfolio includes projects in Green Energy, Carbon and Energy Management and Sustainable Forestry.

  • Jonathan Curren

    Jonathan Curren has 12 years experience in the sustainable energy and climate chance sector, of which the last 10 years has mainly focused on countries throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Jonathan relocated to South Africa in 2007 to establish Camco’s advisory services in the region.

    Jonathan has extensive experience on policy and legislation related to energy, renewable energy and climate change, and in the development and strengthening of institutional frameworks. He has been active in a number of projects and programmes involving the sustainable supply and use of energy, rural energy access, renewable energy policy development and resource assessment.

    Jonathan has works closely with the private sector in Southern Africa on carbon management, climate change strategies and CDM project development, and with Governments to support and encourage CDM activity.

    Jonathan holds an MSc in Renewable Energy Systems Technology and a BSc Hons in Environmental Science.
