These include:Animal Manure and Organic Waste to Energy ProjectsMethane is a high-potency greenhouse gas that is emitted by manure or other organic wastes. The collection and combustion of methane gas is a widely recognized mitigation method. Camco has projects in place that capture the methane, turning it into electricity or compressing it and selling it through the natural gas grid. Under the U.S regulatory framework, tradable offsets can be earned for these kinds of projects.Industrial Energy Efficiency Projects (IEE)Heat recovery projects can reduce energy consumption, as well as lessen the emissions emitted to the environment and improve production. Camco is involved in many IEE projects where waste heat is captured in a recovery system and used to generate electricity either for use on site or for the local electricity grid. The returns from industrial energy efficiency investments can be high and the technical risks relatively low.
