Our Experience

Camco North American operations began in 2005. For almost ten years, we've demonstrated experience in designing, financing, building and owning renewable energy projects in North America, as well as managing the verification and commercialization of greenhouse gas emission reductions. Our Carbon Services Team have transacted credits for use in both the voluntary market and emerging pre-compliance markets for California and the Western Climate Initiative.Camco's experience and knowledge bring a higher degree of credibility to each emissions reduction project that we develop. From regulatory frameworks, technology integration and technical analysis to project development, monitoring and sales; our on-the-ground Carbon Services Team is the key to securing carbon credit delivery and carbon revenue. Working with project owners, we have a long track record of identifying and successfully managing carbon risks. Camco brings exceptional operational capacity to identify, develop and manage carbon projects from origination to carbon credit issuance. We have substantial experience in bringing emission reductions to market through the Climate Action Reserve (CAR) - the compliance standard approved for use in California. Combining this experience with our reputation for delivering carbon offsets from a variety of projects translates to higher revenues from your carbon credits, both now and into the future. Camco’s first project investment in North America was in 2007. We purchased the deteriorated gas collection and gas cleaning facilities of the fifth largest landfill in the United States. We developed an upgrade program for turning around performance and sold the asset to a leading firm in the sector.Camco’s largest agricultural project to date is a 4.5 MW anaerobic digester project located on a dairy in Idaho. We began construction in early 2011 and commenced commercial operation in December 2011. When the project is fully operational in early 2012, it will be one of the largest anaerobic digesters operating on a dairy in North America. Our Areas of Specialization Include:
